Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Becoming Ona (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal data when you join our waitlist, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

1. Who we are

Becoming Ona is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@becomingona.com.

2. What we collect

  • Your email address (required) so we can notify you at launch.
  • Your name (optional), if you choose to share it.
  • Your age range (optional), which you can also decline to share.
  • The life stage(s) you’re interested in (optional), to help us understand what our future members care about.
  • The date and time you gave consent, and basic technical data (such as your request metadata) needed to operate the service securely.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the consent box on the waitlist form. We use your data solely to:

  • email you once, when Becoming Ona launches;
  • understand interest in the product so we can build it well.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

4. Who can see it

Your data is stored securely with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) and email provider, who act as our processors under GDPR-compliant agreements. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your details until Becoming Ona launches and we have contacted you, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. After launch, if you do not become a member, we will delete your waitlist record.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any of these, email hello@becomingona.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or your local supervisory authority.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the product develops. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
